Spaghetti Dinner and Bake Sale

 

 

Why do we do them?

Because the Kent Community loves them.  We have been doing them for 16 years.  They provide fun, fellowship, good eating; assist in funding our necessary expenses; and help raise money for local charities.

When are they?

The first Friday of every month from September through May.

4:30PM to 6:30PM

How much does it cost?

The meal costs $8.00 for Adults, $3.00 for Children (13 and under)

Bake Sale goods are individually priced.

What do I get for my meal?

  • Salad, applesauce, or flavored gelatin
  • All you can eat spaghetti with meat or marinara sauce

  • Sliced bread and butter

  • Wide selection of desserts (including sugar free options)

  • Choice of Beverage (Water, Iced Tea, Fruit Punch, or Coffee)

Can I get my meal To-Go?

Absolutely, we’d be happy to prepare your food to-go.

Where do I park and enter?

Entrances to our parking lot are available off of West Main St. and Mantua St.  In the parking area off the West Main St. there are parking spots reserved for persons with disabilities. Stairs and the elevator are available at the West Main St, entrance.  Stairs only at the Mantua St. entrance.  Proceed to the second floor.

What are we raising money for?

The proceeds from the Spaghetti Dinner go into our Capital Fund and are used for necessary improvements to the FCC Church.

All the money collected from the Bale Sale is donated to a variety of local charities.

How can I help?

Come and eat. 

Browse the selection of homemade baked goods on your way in or out, and take something home.

We are always accepting donations of baked goods.  Drop them off Thursday morning 9:00AM to 1:00PM or Friday from 3:00PM to 4:30PM.

Many volunteers are required to put these events on.  If you are able to help (serve food, wait on tables, clean-up, etc.) please contact the Church Office at 330-673-6634 or kentfcc@firstchristiankent.org

What should I expect when I come?

You will find friendly, helpful people prepared to serve you a wonderful meal.

The Bake Sale will be setup in our sanctuary lobby.  The dinner takes place in our social hall.  Both are located on the second floor.   In the parking area off the West Main St. there are parking spots reserved for persons with disabilities. ***This entrance provides access to the elevator.

The cashier will be setup just outside of the social hall.  We accept cash or checks. 

Once inside, you’ll find a table with Salad, applesauce, and flavored gelatin—choose one; proceed around the table and select your dessert.  Then please be seated at any of the dining tables.  A person in a red apron can help you locate a seat if needed.   Another option is to take a seat first, then come back for you Salad/applesauce/flavored gelatin and dessert.

When you are seated, someone will offer you a choice of beverages.  After you have finished your salad, applesauce, or flavored gelatin, you will be asked if you are ready for spaghetti and if you want meat or marinara sauce.  You will find a basket with fresh-sliced bread and butter, and Parmesan cheese on your table.  Someone will be available to serve beverage refills, more spaghetti, and/or bread.

That is it.  Eat and enjoy.  Please browse the selection of homemade baked goods on your way out, and buy something if you wish.
